Dani Guinsberg
Make-up artist, Dani Guinsberg, is one of the UK’s top professional, renowned for her work for magazines such as British Vogue, Teen Vogue, GQ, Esquire, Stella Magazine, British Cosmopolitan and British Marie Claire, as well as a host of advertising clients including Boden, M&S, New Look, John Lewis, Barry M Cosmetics, Harrods and Debenhams.
In 2008, Dani realised the need for hair and make-up training that offered the highest standards in tuition, with all teachers being at the top of their field in the hair and make-up industries. She founded The Session School, now one of the UKs leading hair and make-up schools, and has built up a team of hair and make-up pros that teach alongside her, whilst she continues to work in on photo shoots, ad campaigns, Red Carpet events and catwalk shows. Dani splits her time between the school and her varied editorial and commercial work, from shoots on location with top fashion photographers to teaching students the art of make-up.
The Session School’s bright and airy studio is located in Hornsey, North London’s newest creative quarter, and is a stone’s throw from Archway and Finsbury Park tube stations and 15 minutes from St Pancras International.
Expert Courses in Hair and Make-Up
The Session School has a comprehensive selection of make-up artist courses, as well as hairstyling courses, nail artistry training, intensive one-off workshops, master classes and one-to-one tuition, with many classes suitable for anyone wanting to brush up on their own make-up skills. We also offer a variety of scheduled monthly events with leading cosmetics brands and employers, giving students past, present and future the chance to develop skills, meet experts and to make new contacts within the hair and beauty industry.
The Session School Professional Make Up Course (11 days)
Suitable for complete beginners or those already working in the industry who wish to further their skills. The programme combines the syllabus of our Foundation Make Up Course and our Advanced Make Up Course, and provides comprehensive training for a career in professional make up artistry.
Students receive intensive training in small groups from leading fashion, advertising and celebrity industry make-up artists. The in-depth syllabus covers all aspects of make-up, from the basics through to high end creative techniques.
The Session School Foundation & Bridal Make Up Course (5 Days)
Suitable for beginners and is specifically designed to give a comprehensive training in basic make up. The course is aimed at students who are interested in learning the foundations of make-up artistry for either personal or professional use. Students receive intensive training in small groups from leading fashion, advertising and celebrity industry make-up artists.
